PABLO – A 20-year-old man was killed during a hit-and-run incident on U.S. Highway 93 near mile marker 53 in Pablo on Dec. 8. The victim has been identified as Aiden Michael Finley of Polson. (See related obituary on page 34.)
Montana Highway Patrol Sargent Chan Barry said the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Barry said the Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the incident but did not have any leads as of Monday, Dec. 10, concerning the identity of the driver.
The victim was found in the north-bound lane and was pronounced dead at the scene. Barry said if anyone has information about the incident they should call the Montana Highway Patrol, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police Department or the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said the Ronan Fire Department and Ronan Ambulance responded to the scene with law enforcement. He said the Sheriff’s Office sends their condolences to the family of Aiden Finley.
