News from Glacier View Church
For the fifth year, the children and their families of Glacier View Church, partnering with Samaritan’s Purse and many other churches and organizations across Montana and the nation, have packed shoeboxes chock full of gifts destined to go to children in areas of the world devastated by war, disaster and extreme poverty, sending a little light of God’s love. Children from 150 countries in the remotest reaches of our planet will learn that others care for them. Along with hygiene items and school supplies, the shoeboxes contain warm socks, a hat, a pair of gloves and a small toy or two. Loving Christians, telling the story of Jesus’ love in the language of the people, will share the seeds of the Gospel.
Over the last 25 years “Operation Christmas Child" shoebox gifts have been distributed to 157 million children from Afghanistan to Timbuktu and from Ecuador to Zambia by jet, boat, bike and even donkey cart. The shoeboxes packed by our happy children have gone abroad, spreading joy to children who may never have heard the name of Jesus before.
And with each box go our prayers for the child who receives it.
