POLSON — Cowboy Country and the Gold Dust Girls take the stage again at the Polson Elks Lodge on Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.

The mission of this seven-piece band is to perform country-western and early rock and roll music (for dancing and listening) in the style of the original recording artists.

Printed copies of the tune list will be available on the tables at the Elks Club for the convenience of dancers and listeners. Tunes on the list for this dance include classic country tunes such as “My Shoes Keep Walkin’ Back to You,” and “Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain.” An old western waltz “The Tennessee Waltz,” is also sure to please all the dancers.

From the early rock and roll era, the band will perform Hank Williams’ “Hey, Good Lookin” and “Top of the World” made popular by The Carpenters, as well as other rock and roll tunes like Dwight Yoakam’s “Guitars and Cadillacs”, Dolly Parton’s “Old Flames”, Kenny Rogers’ “Blaze of Glory”, Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” and Merle Haggard’s “Branded Man.” They will also perform a couple of bluegrass tunes like “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas,”and “I’m Gonna Love You Like There’s No Tomorrow.”

Cowboy Country’s repertoire of more than 400 tunes makes it possible to please nearly everyone’s taste in good dancing music.

For more information on Friday’s performance, call 406-293-1925.

Doors open at the Polson Elks Lodge at 5:30 p.m. There will be a small cover charge at the door.
