Girls Basketball

Ronan Maidens

Ronan fell behind 12-4 in the second quarter and never could erase the deficit against the visiting Missoula Sentinel Lady Spartans on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The 55-25 loss drops the Maidens to 4-6 on the season. Regan Clairmont and Tiana Ulutoa paced the Maidens with five points each. Lexi Wirz and Jaeleigh Gatch each had four points.

On Friday, Ulutoa scored a team-high 12 points and Jaylea Lunceford scored 11 points as the Maidens toppled the visiting Libby Lady Loggers 45-28.

In Saturday’s battle with the visiting Browning Indians, the Maidens fell 69-59. Regan Clairmont led the Maidens with 16 points followed by Lunceford with 15 points and Ulutoa with 12 points.

Two Eagle River Lady Eagles

TaRae GoodLuck scored a Lady Eagle team-high six points on Tuesday, Jan. 15, as the Two Eagle River Lady Eagles fell to hosting Valley Christian Lady Eagles 62-18.

Lady Eagle Liz Hill scored four points and Trinity Carpinter scored two points for a combined six points in the 66-6 road loss to the Noxon Lady Red Devils on Friday.

Polson Lady Pirates

In a Western AA matchup against visiting Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack, the Polson Lady Pirates fell 61-11.

Leading the Lady Pirates in scoring was Mossy Kauley with four points. In a road game on Friday, the Lady Pirates fell 56- 24 to the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs.

Mission Lady Bulldogs

In a game that went back and forth, the Mission Lady Bulldog came away with a narrow 49-44 loss to visiting Bigfork Valkyries on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs led in the top half of the fourth quarter but would only score nine points as the Valkyries stormed back to take the win.

Azia Umphrey poured in a game-high 14 points for the Lady Bulldogs followed by Madyson Currie with 10 points.

On Saturday, Umphrey scored 10 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs as they fell 70-41 on the road against the Deer Lodge Lady Wardens.

Boys Basketball

Polson Pirates

On Thursday evening, the Polson Pirates fell on the road to the Western AA Glacier Wolfpack 58-39. Ryker Wenderoth and Robin Erickson both led the Pirates with eight points. Colton Graham and Micah Askan each chipped in seven points.

On Friday evening, the hosting Whitefish Bulldogs slipped past the Pirates 53-49 in a Northwestern A matchup.

Two Eagle River Eagles

In a road game on Tuesday, Jan. 15, the Two Eagle River Eagles fell 58-47 to the Valley Christian Eagles. On Thursday, Michael Brown shot team-high nine points in a 63-35 home loss to Hot Springs Savage Heat. Travis Pierre scored a game-high 22 points on the road against the Noxon Red Devils to lead the Eagles on Friday night. Noxon came away with the 67-43 14C District win.

Mission Bulldogs

The Mission Bulldogs fell 72-49 to the hosting Bigfork Vikings on Friday evening. Matt Anderson was the only double-figure scorer for the Bulldogs, tallying 16 points. In Saturday’s matchup against the Deer Lodge Wardens, the visiting Bulldogs fell 74-63. Wacey McClure dropped in 19 points for the Bulldogs. Jacob Hugs added 17 points, and Flint McPherson contributed 11 points.

Ronan Chiefs

Anthony Camel canned a game-high 22 points as the Ronan Chiefs chopped down the visiting Libby Loggers 43-41 on Friday evening. On Saturday, the visiting Browning Indians defeated the Chiefs 77-21. Camel led the Chiefs with nine points.
