News from the director’s office of the
 Montana Department of Transportation

MONTANA – The Montana Department of Transportation will host the fourth annual Small Business Summit, Takin’ Care of Business, on Feb. 12 to the 14th in Helena.

This year, the summit kicks off with a reception at Exploration Works followed by two days of business development and networking with Montana businesses. The summit will be held at the Best Western Helena Great Northern Hotel.

The primary goal of the Small Business Summit is to bring together the small business community in a supportive empowering environment to learn from the knowledge and experience of subject matter experts and each other. Summit attendees will have the opportunity to network and connect with the right people to build relationships and establish partnerships that lead to increased contract opportunities.

The Summit will feature keynote speaker Steve Beck, founder and president of Beck & Associates. He has been described as “wildly entertaining, engaging, funny, and highly motivational.” There will be breakout sessions featuring local speakers covering marketing, employee retention, contract law, cyber security, bonding and government contracting with the practical instruction for implementation.

The cost for the summit is $75, which includes breakfast and lunch. To register or view the full agenda, please visit 2019summit.ezregister.com/or call Shannon Hahn at 406-444-7287 or email shahn@mt.gov.
