Robert Goldsby
YUMA, ARIZONA — Robert (Bob) Goldsby, 82, passed away at his home in Yuma, Arizona, on Feb. 27, after a long illness, with his son and caregiver by his side. He was born to John ( Jack) and M. Blanche Goldsby on July 9, 1936, in Missoula. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul, and his sister, Patricia.
In 1956 Bob graduated from Hellgate High School and worked for the Forest Service. He met and married Karen Fick, a nursing student from Kalispell, in 1957. The following busy years were notable for the birth of their four children: Jan, Dave, Lisa (Todd Harrison) and Terri (Terry Anderson).
Bob worked hard as a heavy equipment operator on logging roads and as a log truck driver, later doing some long haul driving including some time in Alaska.
Bob is survived by his children; his seven grandchildren: (Chris and Jon Dover, Devan and Dustin Goldsby and Zach, Tyler and Katlyn Harrison); his six great-grandchildren: (Brody, Alaylla, Kayd, Lyric, Keaura and Lauren); and his friend and former wife, Karen; and many of his cherished friends; nieces and nephews.
Bob was a good man - strong, stubborn and lovable, and will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
