News from the Board of  Directors for Mission Falls Market

ST. IGNATIUS —  It’s almost community market time. Our first market for 2019 will take place on May 24, at our new location in the Good Old Days Park.

On May 16, we will host a vendor meeting and park clean-up at 5 p.m. All are welcome and highly encouraged to attend. It will be an opportunity to learn important information for the upcoming season. Please note that drop-in fees have increased slightly, (now $7) to help pay for market insurance, which is essential for the safety and protection of all involved.

We are also currently welcoming new board members. If this is of interest to you or someone you know, please contact the board for more information.

We’d appreciate any constructive input on last year’s market. There’s a short questionnaire at the end of the vendor application at. You can request a vendor application at: missionfallsmarket@gmail.com.

Important information:

—  All vendors are responsible for meeting Tribal and State regulations relevant to goods sold at public market. Please note the recent addition of required licensing for the sale of nursery stock (plants for crops or consumption that have roots). It is the job of the market to inform vendors, but not enforce these regulations.

—  The required training for how to accept SNAP dollars will take place at the park meeting and clean-up on May 16.
