Ronan Chamber seeks volunteers
RONAN — The Ronan Chamber of Commerce is seeking volunteers to work in the chamber office on Main Street and/or The Visitors Center on Highway 93.
Duties include answering questions from people in person or via phone; providing information on chamber business; keeping brochures stocked; and watering plants at Visitors Center.
Overall, this is a low-demand job physically with minimum lifting or walking. Volunteers are expected to show up on assigned shifts and provide assistance to visitors that stop.
The Visitors Center position is from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The Main Street chamber office position is year-round.

Club adds Continuing Education Scholarship
News from the Montecahto Club
POLSON – This year the Montecahto Club is offering a new scholarship, in addition to its annual one awarded in conjunction with the Polson Scholarship and Education Foundation.
The new $500 Continuing Education Scholarship is for an individual who’s seeking vocational or technical certification or licensure/certification in a more non-traditional training program.
Recent high school graduation is not required, but a high school diploma or its equivalency is required. Applicants must reside in Lake County, and the certification program must be offered in the state of Montana. Completed applications are due Sept. 1.
