Editor,

Don’t you love learning curves? You know, the distance between what you know and what you need to know to do a job? Sometimes a learning curve represents a frustrating experience.

However, a learning curve can be a more pleasant line. At the Loaves and Fish food pantry in Polson, we love to help new volunteers ride their learning curves and appreciate what they bring to the table. We all can learn as we help each other and our community, and isn’t that the nicest learning curve?

Thank you to all our volunteers, those who donate food and money, who bring us boxes, who load and unload truckloads of donations, who stock shelves, who help our customers, who clean and carry and sort and more, all quietly and faithfully. We’ve learned that you are wonderful.

Sometimes a learning curve is shaped just like a smile.
