CHARLO – Charlo High School held their 2019 graduation commencement on Sunday afternoon in the school’s gymnasium.

This year a trio of valedictorians addressed the graduating class and crowd of well-wishers. Co-valedictorians Taylor Olsen and Allie Delaney delivered messages of encouragement and inspiration, while co-valedictorian Wills DeGrandpre took a more entertaining musical approach with his speech.

Joined by Delaney, DeGrandpre plucked away on a guitar while the duo sang a song about their classmates entitled “I Have Friends Going Places.” The song was a parody of a '90s chart-topper by Garth Brooks “I have Friends in Low Places.”

Charlo math teacher Michael Michalak gave the commencement address.

The 2019 graduates included: Kamryn Niche Caye, Jaden Dawn Coston, Kaitlin Alexa-Leigh Cox, William David DeGrandpre, Allison Marie Delaney, Nathan Wayne Delaney, Aubrey Elizabeth Doty, Tyrah Iris Hammond, Aasha Nikol Johnson, Conner Vincent Koenig, Darien Candalario Liberty, Raegan Martin, Taylor Jane Olsen, Packer Moss Pearson, Rio Sonora Rivera, Landers Clarence Smith, Brock Antone Tomlin, Teaira Brooke Truman and Garett Layne Vaughan. Adriana K. Johnson was celebrated in memoriam.
