Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest appreciation to the Ronan Middle School sixth grade teaching staff. They show exemplary qualities in their teaching skills, styles and true caring about their students on an individual basis. Throughout our 11 years in the Ronan School District, we have had many high quality teachers but this year really seemed to shine. From a parent’s standpoint, this is so much more appreciated than you will ever know.

When a child feels happy about getting up and going to school each day, he knows he is in a safe place with teachers he can look up to and confide in, that relieves so much anxiety when we as parents deliver our most precious assets to you each morning. What a difference the following teachers have made in my son’s life this past year: Bill Becker, Mitch Wassum, Sufia West, Alicia Lipscomb, Caitlin Linse, Crystal Pitts, and Steve Woll. Thank you for inspiring Koda to want to learn more, including the saxophone (who would have guessed that?), creating an environment that is safe to learn in and being outstanding role models in the classrooms, on the sports fields and in the auditoriums.

I can only hope that the upcoming years at Ronan Middle School and high school come close to the positive experience we had with those educators this past year.

Kudos to Ms. Beal, Mr Ilig , Kierra and Lorelei; you really are the heartbeat of our school.

Thank you again for the great year.

Jennifer Rolfsness
Ronan parent
