RONAN – On June 13, with family and friends all around, Emilie Corley officially inked her letter of intent to play softball starting this fall at Williston State College in Williston, North Dakota.

Corley had a.625 batting average, a .715 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.075, in her final season with the Ronan Maidens.

Earning all-state and all-conference first team honors, Corley homered five times and tallied 26 RBIs on the year.

After checking out a handful of schools, the two-year Williston State campus was the last but not least on Corley’s list.

Following a recruiting visit a couple weeks ago, Corley said she really liked what she saw and learned of WSC and the Teton softball program.

“The facilities were amazing,” she said. “I really liked Williston because it had a very strong community feel and everyone there was super friendly. After seeing the town, the school, and meeting the coach along with some other people, it just felt like the right place for me.”

Corley plans to pursue a degree in education, while attending WSC.
