News from People and Carnivores

LAKE COUNTY – Join us for a presentation on living with grizzlies in the Mission Valley.

Protect yourself, your property, and the bears too. Join People and Carnivores and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes to learn how bears are using this landscape, how to secure common bear attractants and how to prevent conflicts. We will also practice using bear spray.

Dinner and beverages included. Enter the raffle for a chance to win various safety-themed door prizes.

The event will be held in three towns on different dates from 6-8 p.m. In St. Ignatius, the event was on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Senior Center. In Ronan, the program will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Senior Center on Terrace Lake Road. On Thursday, Aug. 15, the event will be at the CSKT Senior Center on 1st Street in Polson.
