News from Ninepipes Museum

CHARLO – Coming up at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, Ninepipes Museum has the rare opportunity and great privilege of hosting an appearance by Fay Haynes, a Montana homesteader and inductee in the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame. Fay will accompany her niece, author Grace Larson, and together will show some of Fay’s memorabilia centered around a lifetime associated with horses, ranching and rodeos. Larson has penned a new book featuring Fay and will be available for a question and answer session in the Dr. Earl Wharton Memorial Art Gallery in the museum’s gift shop. The afternoon starts out with Richard Tobel playing some familiar tunes on his guitar from 12:30-2 p.m.

The museum staff will draw the winning tickets for two items being offered during the season-long raffle.

The museum’s annual October sale is running from Oct.7-19 and during that time visitors to the museum can take advantage of a great promotion. With the contribution of a nonperishable food item for Ronan’s Bread Basket, museum entry fees with be half-price.

The museum is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through Oct. 31. Call 406-644-3435 for further information.
