News from Lights Under the Big Sky

RONAN – Here’s a head’s up for seasonal fun: Lights Under the Big Sky will brighten the night beginning Dec. 13, continuing Dec. 14, Dec. 20 and 21 from 5 to 9 p.m.

It’s a fun event for the whole family. Bring the youngsters for a visit with Santa. Kids’ games and crafts are also available. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy hot chocolate or other yummy treats and see the spectacular displays around the fairgrounds. It’s $3 per person for this holiday event; children under 5 years old are free.

Lights director Sjaan Vincent said there are many new attractions this year, including a new selfie spot and addition to the reindeer display. The whole fairgrounds courtyard and most of the barns will sport thousands of lights. Fire pits along the way will give people a place to stop and warm up. Be sure to take a trip through candy cane lane to enjoy the lights and candy canes.

The Christmas Market will be open in the Lake County Community Center from 5 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 13 and 14 and 20 and 21 so visitors can pick up unique items and stocking stuffers or chat with friends as they wander through the goods for sale. There are several new venders with handmade crafts, furniture and food. If you’re interested in having a table, please contact Jennifer Davis at 406-253-7412.
