We kick off March by “Coloring Outside the Lines” during our adult coloring program on Thursday, March 5, from 2-3:30 p.m. Join us as we think a little outside the crayon box and doodle your own mandala then add lots of color. All supplies are provided.

Friday, March 6  an animated children’s movie will show at 3:45 p.m. featuring a favorite Pokémon character.  There will be no Friday evening movie, as it conflicts with the showing of the Richwine’s Burgerville documentary  “Burgers, Fries and Family Ties” showing at the Showboat Cinema.  The children’s movie title can be found on our website or by calling the library.

Our Needle Arts Series continues this month with knitting classes. Beginning on March 10 and each Tuesday in March at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room, join us, as two experienced volunteer teachers show you the basics, answer questions and help you finish projects. Bring any knitting supplies and UFOs (unfinished objects) you have. There will be some needles and yarn available for practice.

We had so much fun with our inaugural board game day that we are doing it again. Join us Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. All ages are encouraged to play. We will supply the games and hope to see you there.

On Tuesday, March 31, at 2 p.m. Heather will hold a Computer Basics class all about Windows 10. As you might have heard, Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7 and earlier versions. Heather will be able to answer your questions about how to upgrade and will go over the basics of this latest version. As always, all of our programs are free and open to the public.

We still have Federal tax forms and booklets available at no charge. As a reminder, the State of Montana no longer prints booklets and forms, so you can find those online at mtrevenue.gov.

Our staff achieved First Aid and CPR certification during American Heart Month on our February Staff Development Day. We learned CPR for all ages and were trained on how to use the AED (automated external defibrillator) that is in the library. It gives us, and hopefully you, peace of mind that our staff is prepared and trained in the event of an emergency.

The library is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Fridays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Visit our website: www.northlakecountylibrary.org, our Facebook page, and check the calendar section for updates on the happenings at the library.
