News from FWP

MONTANA – Hunters and anglers who are purchasing licenses online and have questions for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks can take advantage of extended hours at the licensing call center now through April 1.

The call center will be fielding calls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday starting on March 9 until April 1. 2020 general licenses are on sale now at FWP offices and local license retailers around the state.

Hunters have until April 1 to apply for deer and elk special/limited draw permits.

Application can be completed online or at any FWP office that sells licenses. In order to apply for special permits and enter the drawing, you will need to supply a valid email address at the time of application.

If you are successful in the draw, you will receive an email to that email address that contains the link to your permits/carcass tags.  This link can be clicked only one time, so it is very important that the email be checked at a location with a printer that is ready to print.

All special permit applicants can check their status by visiting fwp.mt.gov then clicking on the MyFWP tab at the top, then on Check Drawing Results, Register for Lists button on the left. The licensing call center number is 406-444-2950.

To purchase a license online, go to fwp.mt.gov.
