Ronan Kindergarten Round-Up done differently

News from Ronan School District Special Services

RONAN — This spring, due to social distancing as a result of COVID 19, the Ronan School District No. 30 is conducting their annual Kindergarten Round Up pre-registration for Ronan and Pablo residents differently. Registration to pre-enroll for both elementary schools for the upcoming 2020/21 school year will be conducted via call-in on the following dates and times to the elementary school your student will be attending in the fall. You may reach a building secretary at the following telephone numbers: Pablo Elementary – 406-275-7700; KWH – 406-528-7300; or at Special Services – 406-528-7450. 

To be eligible for kindergarten, a student must be 5 years old, on or before Sept. 10, 2020. Pre-registrations for 4-year-olds are limited. Parents will be asked to send in their child’s county birth certificate, immunization record and Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) after registration.

Update issued for Flathead Audubon 

News from Flathead Audubon 

Flathead Audubon is cancelling the May 11 annual meeting and potluck at the Whitefish Community Center. In addition, FAS is cancelling all May field trips, the spring birding trip over Memorial Day weekend and the Warbler Weekend at Talley Lake Campground. Updates will be available on the Flathead Audubon website: www.flatheadaudubon.org.

In spite of these cancellations, Flathead Audubon is releasing the awesome “Birds Rock” video and offering many exciting online activities. Online bird quizzes and virtual field trips for families and adults can be found on the website and Facebook pages. FAS is collaborating with Lone Pine State Park to develop at least two “virtual” bird and native plant field trips.
