Dayton PTO plans fun activities for students

News from Dayton PTO

DAYTON — The Dayton Parent/Teacher Organization invites students to have some fun and celebrate spring and summer. 

—  On Thursday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m., at Proctor School be softball ready. All ages and skill levels welcome. This is a family friendly-event that all can partake in. 

—  On Tuesday, June 16, at 1 p.m., meet at Dayton Park for Fire Department Day. Come check out our local fire trucks and meet some of our local fire department volunteers and ask questions.

—  On Thursday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m., at Dayton Park it's time for kickball. Who’s ready for a lively game of kickball? Come get some great exercise and have a fun time with friends. All ages welcome.

—  On Tuesday, June 23, 6:30 p.m., meet at Dayton School for bike night. We will ride around the Dayton area together where there will be some fun surprises to find along the route to jazz up your bike with. All ages welcome. After our RAD ride we will enjoy popsicle refreshments.

—  On Thursday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m., at Proctor School be softball ready. All ages and skill levels welcome. This is a family friendly event that all can partake in.

—  It’s Spectrum Chemistry Day on Tuesday, July 14, at 11 a.m., at Proctor School. You don’t want to miss this final event. Come enjoy a day with the Spectrum Science team and learn about chemistry by exploring multiple exhibits. Lunch will be provided by PTO (will need RSVP count) This is a free event.

FFA elects new officers

MISSION VALLEY — The Mission Valley FFA had their officer interviews on Tuesday, June 2. We would like to thank everyone that applied and congratulate our 2020-2021 officers: president Jaylea Lunceford, vice president Cloe Hooover, secretary Kambrie Rubel, treasurer Kiara Sherman, reporter Olivia Clairmont, sentinel Jeremy Uhrich, parliamentarian Coleton Sherman. 

We would also like to give a special thanks to our wonderful judges: Judy Kudlock, Teresa Cullis, and Heather Gray.
