News from the Lake County Sheriff Office

LAKE COUNTY – Dominick Buccelli, 27, who was the subject of an arrest warrant for a traffic related homicide in Yellowstone County, was arrested on Aug. 14.

Buccelli was seen by a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy in a 2018 Dodge Ram in Polson. The vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Bighorn County.

When the deputy attempted to stop him, Buccelli attempted to flee. Buccelli was pursued by the deputy and a Polson Police Department Officer at speeds up to 90 mph on the Back Road and North Reservoir Road areas. The pursuit ended near the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and North Reservoir. Buccelli was taken into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office and Lake County Search and Rescue have scaled back search efforts for Allen Ray, who went missing on Aug. 1 in the Swartz Lake area.

During the last two weeks, multiple search operations have been undertaken and exhausted. This has included multiple hours-long ground searches using dozens of Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Search and Rescue personnel, searches from the air via Two Bear Air, searches of nearby water, and multiple dog search teams from Flathead County’s Search and Rescue units.

No sign of Allen Ray has been found. LCSO detectives have conducted further investigation and continue to do so. Multiple interviews have been conducted with individuals Ray had contact with and others who were in the Swartz Lake area on the day he went missing.

We believe there may be more people out there who were in the area that morning and early afternoon, and we would like to talk to them as well. If you were in the area on Aug. 1, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 406-883-7301 and ask to speak to a deputy.
