Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher committed a Mullan Idaho man to four years with the Montana Department of Corrections with all but 45 days suspended on one count of criminal endangerment, a felony.

The sentence was handed down at District Court in Polson on Oct. 15. Brian Andrew Fernquist, 48, entered a plea of guilty to the charge on Aug. 27. The plea came as part of a plea agreement.

According to court records, on April 24, Lake County emergency dispatchers received multiple reports of a white sedan running several other motorists off the road in the Ravalli area, and one of the motorists was able to remove the keys of the suspect’s vehicle after it came to a stop.

A responding law enforcement officer arrived and recorded Fernquist’s blood alcohol content at .341.
