News from North Lake County Public Library

POLSON — On Feb.9, at 1 p.m. we invite all community members to join us for the second of two short interactive virtual presentations to learn more about how the “All of Us Research Program” may help change the future of health. This session will focus on COVID topics. At the moment, health care is often one-size-fits all, but imagine a future where your healthcare is tailored to you. We want to make that future possible by creating a resource that allows researchers to conduct thousands of studies on health and disease. You do not have to pre-register for this session. Just join us via zoom: https://zoom.us/j/95701506699?pwd=VkI0V05YRy82TXhCRTJRTUhXUXZXZz09

To celebrate “I Love to Read” month, we are pleased to present Adopt-A-Book. This is an opportunity to “adopt” a book for the library’s youth collection. Community members can purchase a book to honor a special person or event. Each hardback is $15. After you make a purchase, a bookplate will be created with your message and permanently placed in the front of the book. Come in to the library to browse the selection.

The Partners Sharing Group is exploring ways of increasing the availability of new materials to patrons and making hold fulfillment more efficient. Some new items may be marked for “local holds only” before becoming available to readers at all libraries. As we move through this process, we will provide an opportunity for feedback on your experience browsing the collection and placing holds.

Library hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. We are also open Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. for the vulnerable population. Curbside pickup is available for everyone from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Masks are required. Please call us at 406-883-8225 or email us at: polsoncl@polson.lib.mt.us with questions or to request curbside pickup.

The library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15, for President’s Day. We will be open again on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m.

Storytime can be viewed on our YouTube channel or on Facebook each Monday at 10:30 a.m. This week Felicia celebrates Valentine’s Day. Be sure to watch all of our Storytimes anytime on our YouTube channel.
