Our favorite time of the year is here - tax season. Free tax preparation sponsored by AARP has begun. Call the center for an appointment on Mondays or Thursdays.
Activities schedule: hearing clinic-Tuesday, Feb. 23, 9-11 a.m.; exercise class on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays-10:30-11:30 a.m.; poker on Mondays-call center for more information; Mahjong on Wednesdays-12:30 p.m.; cards on Thursdays-12:30 p.m.; bingo on Fridays at 7 p.m.
Lunch is served at the center, for take-out or home-delivered from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Call the center about payment arrangements.
Menu:
— Wednesday, Feb. 17: chicken pot pie, biscuit, 5-cup salad, fruit cobbler
— Thursday, Feb. 18: meatloaf, baked potato, mixed veggie, pear salad, molasses cookie
— Friday, Feb. 19: pork tip in gravy; whipped potatoes, corn, green salad, pistachio pudding
— Monday, Feb. 22: split pea soup, roll, creamy peach salad, cookie
— Tuesday, Feb. 23: Salisbury steak, whipped potatoes, creamed peas, peaches, tapioca pudding
— Wednesday, Feb. 24: chicken enchilada, refried beans, green salad, fruit cocktail cake
If you have some time on your hands, think about volunteering to deliver meals.
