Brownie Scouts prepare for Easter egg hunt

POLSON — It was controlled chaos. Hundreds of brightly colored Easter eggs and pieces of candy were scattered around a circle of Brownie Scouts. The Brownies filled each egg with a piece of candy and then clicked the plastic egg pieces together.
Brownie Troop 337 was helping the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi by filling eggs for the chapter’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Tessa Hupke, Brownie leader and Alpha Upsilon member, said she told her fellow Alphas that the girls would love filling the eggs. They did, too, talking and laughing as about 20 members of the troop stuffed eggs while Hupke and Melinda Collinge, the other Brownie leader, collected the candy-filled eggs.
The Easter Bunny and the children who attend the Alpha Upsilon Annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 7 at 9 a.m. at Boettcher Park will appreciate the Brownie Troop’s work, too.
