PHS celebrates graduates with in-person ceremony

POLSON — Polson High School graduated 119 student this year who walked across the stage to receive their diplomas during a Saturday afternoon ceremony.
Pomp and Circumstance was played by the PHS symphonic band to kick off the celebration. PHS concert choir performed the national anthem and Badgertail Drum group played the honor song.
Graduating seniors Kyra Spencer and Michel Smith congratulated the students and staff during an opening speech. The ceremony marked a sense of normalcy as graduating seniors were able to celebrate in-person on the school’s football field alongside family and friends.
In a year with many ups and downs due to the pandemic, speakers Any Fors and Mike Sitter echoed a similar sentiment: if they can get through this year, the road ahead will only get better.
