News from the North Lake County Public Library

POLSON — Our Summer Reading Program is in full swing. Reading is for everyone and our program is for all ages. Special programs will be Thursday mornings starting at 10 a.m. You can still register. Get the READ SQUARED app free for both Android (Google Play) and iOS mobile (Apple) devices. The app allows you to register and easily track your activity. Program registration is also available on our website at: www.NorthLakeCountyLibrary.org.

This week however is a little different. July 8 is movie day at the Polson Theater (tickets will be given out at the library - please pick up tickets by Tuesday, July 6).

Life jackets are back. Seasonal life jacket checkout is ready to go.  Borrowers must be 18+ years old with a current, active library card. A liability waiver form must be signed prior to one-week checkout (no renewal). Must be returned dry and in their bag.

Overdue items accrue fines at a rate of $1 per day.

Join us Mondays at 9:15 a.m. Mother Goose is an interactive program for babies, toddlers and their caregivers that will include Nursery Rhymes and stories. Come in to play with your child and learn new action rhymes to do at home.

The library meeting room restrictions have been lifted. The library large meeting room is now available for public use during our business hours and after hours. Please call the library to reserve the room for your group.

The library is pleased to conduct a supply drive to support the Mission Valley Animal Shelter. They can use: pet food, dog toys, cat trees, cat toys, swimming pools for dogs and milk replacement for kittens and puppies. Thank you for your help and support. We will collect items through Aug. 5.

The library offers curbside service for holds pickup during all business hours. Stay in the comfort of your air conditioned vehicle and keep kids and pets safe. We are happy to bring your items to your vehicle. Just call the library at 406-883-8225 and give us the last five digits of your library card number and a description of your vehicle. Pop your trunk and we’ll place your items in there for a contactless experience. If you are sick, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, you have tested positive for COVID, or you are in quarantine - please do not enter the building. Call for curbside pickup.
