MONTANA — This year, Montana FFA Foundation awarded $7,500 to six Montana FFA Chapters that are showing their commitment to their community and investing in service projects locally. Miles City, Victor, Park City, Big Timber, Mission Valley, and Missoula will all receive funding from the Montana FFA Foundation to carry out the last part of the FFA Motto, “Living to Serve” through the Montana FFA Foundation Helping Hands Grant. These grants are provided by support from 1776 Foundation and Kenyon Noble.

Keeping in the spirit of the FFA motto, the Montana FFA Helping Hands Grant was created to secure funds for FFA community service projects. The Helping Hands Grant allows FFA students to submit their community service projects and receive the funding needed to move forward with their projects.

Mission Valley FFA is using its $1,000 grant to cultivate fresh produce for its local food pantry. The Bread Basket is the emergency food pantry in Ronan. They currently serve over 500 people per month. The Mission Valley FFA is planning on building these beds and cultivating fresh vegetables to donate to Bread Basket.

The Montana FFA Foundation is proud to support these projects. Whether it’s cleaning up a park or putting food on someone’s table, Montana FFA members are always willing to lend their “helping hand,” and are living each day to serve their community.

The Montana FFA Foundation supports 99 FFA chapters across the state of Montana, representing over 5,000 members. The Montana FFA Foundation’s mission is to cultivate partnerships, promote awareness and secure resources to enhance Agricultural Education and the Montana FFA Association.
