Special thanks go out to many
POLSON — Friday’s dinner consisted of Clara’s fish and Kaye’s banana splits. A special thanks goes to all the people who helped: Clara, Kaye, Sharon, Dee, Gabby, Wendy, and anyone else I forgot. We had a membership drive on that day and so people renewed or got a new card for the upcoming year. Thanks to all who purchase membership cards to help support the senior center. We couldn’t do it without you.
September is when membership dues for the upcoming year need to be paid. They are still $15 a year per person. If you are new to our community please come by and check us out or if you have let your membership lapse come on in and we’ll get you signed up again. It is money well spent.
We would also like to send a special thank you to Tracy Sherick for taking cans down to Missoula for recycling. She is a good supporter of the senior center.
The little garden is producing tomatoes that Kelli uses in her salads. The cucumbers are doing well also. Thanks to all who have brought us their garden fresh vegetables.
There are baby quilts in the display case; everything from the Pink Panther to Teddy Bears. Come and check them out.
Bridge scores for Aug. 17, had Stan Petersen first and Millie Mielke second, on Aug. 21, Chuck Aker was first and Win Baer took second, and on Aug. 24, Alice Johnson was first and Dee Adams was second. On Aug. 16, Janet Kaschke had a double Pinochle but I lost the score sheet so I can’t report on other Pinochle scores.
