RONAN — Well, the weather has cooled down and the fires are dwindling, so maybe summer won’t end up so bad after all.

This Friday, Aug. 31, is our birthday dinner, and it is also Kelcey’s last day. Come on in and tell her good-bye and enjoy a great roast beef dinner with us. I am going to start helping in the kitchen and have to get the routine down again, as it has been four years since I cooked for so many people.

Our yard sale will be on Thursday and Friday Sept. 6 and 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. If you would like to donate something, please call us at (406) 676-2371 or (406) 676-2368, and we will arrange how and when to get it here.

We will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, to observe Labor Day. Our monthly board meeting has been moved to Monday, Sept. 10. If you are on the board, or a alternate, you need to be at the meeting.

The Veterans representative will be here on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 1-2 p.m., and our evening meal will be at 5 p.m. We will serve chicken, for only $5 per person.

The foot clinic will be on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m.-noon. You don’t need an appointment for this, but you might want get your name on the list.

Menu for the next week is:

Wednesday, Aug. 29: chicken and rice casserole

Friday, Sept.2: roast beef

Monday, Sept. 3: closed

Wednesday, Sept. 5: potato bar

Friday, Sept. 7: salmon loaf

If you need a ride to a medical appointment or to go grocery shopping, give the COA a call at (406) 676-2368. They also have a homemaking service to help the senior of Lake County. The number for that is (406) 676-2367.

We are still re-cycling aluminum cans and would like to thank all who donated to this fundraiser.

Have a great week, and be on the lookout for kids on their way to and from school.
