Art sales to benefit Honduras service trip

As many of you may already know, I am a 34-year veteran dental hygienist as well as a visual artist. I have been involved for many years with Cape CARES (Central American Relief Efforts; www.capecares.org ), an organization that provides much needed medical and dental services to people in remote villages of Honduras who have no access to healthcare. This year I am thrilled to have my husband Tom (equipment maintenance, registration, general support,) and my daughter Sarah (dental assistant) joining me for the weeklong trip to Los Encinitos in November. My father-in-law Arthur (DMD) and brother Roger (DMD) will also be part of our team. Additionally, I’ve requested the help of a dental hygiene colleague who we desperately need, but she cannot join the team without some financial assistance.
Cape CARES volunteers travel to Honduras at their own expense with an average cost of $1,500 per person, which includes airfare, housing, meals and in-country transportation. To help defray our expenses, I will be selling original artwork at a significantly reduced price. All proceeds of these sales will go toward our mission trip expenses. I hope you will consider purchasing an original piece of art to help my family continue to serve the people of Honduras.
