Editor,

Nancy Lindsey is the Democratic candidate for State Senate District 6. Not only is Nancy aware that the number one priority for the state legislature should be creating decently-paying jobs for Montanans, as state senator, she will actually do something about it.

Nancy Lindsey is a Polson High School graduate, as well as a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in civil engineering and business. She co-founded Black Mountain Software, a small business that is a successful financial software company that employs about 35 people in the Polson area. She went on from Black Mountain to teach in area schools and has served on the Polson School Board for almost 10 years.

Nancy would like to see the state legislature focus on easing the burden for small business owners. She feels that the best way to do that is to pass legislation that would help them compete more effectively against larger companies. That makes good sense, especially in small town economies like ours, where small businesses are absolutely critical. Nancy believes that strengthening small businesses will lead to better job opportunities for area workers, and better pay for those workers.

Nancy has personal experience establishing a successful small business and will do everything within her power to help other small businesses in Montana.

Please join me in voting for Nancy Lindsey for State Senator.
