Polson seniors donate to parking lot fund, sell tickets for quilt

POLSON — Thank you to all who donated to the parking lot pavement fund here at the center. Your generosity is appreciated.

Tickets for the Irish chain quilt being raffled off at the center are going real well and fast. Come in, take a look, and get your tickets while you can.

We have 1-pound boxes of See’s candies for sale again this year. We have nuts-n-chews and assorted selling for $16.75 a box. They are going fast and make really nice holiday gifts or a great hostess gift. 

The Polson Senior Citizen’s Center will be hosting the annual community Thanksgiving dinner again this year on Thursday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Many people work for and give to this special day that is truly a community affair. Orders for home delivered meals and food donations may be made here at the center. Call (406) 883-4735 if you want a meal or to donate a salad, pie or rolls. Any donation, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for all that you do.

Remember the toenail clinic on Nov. 14, and bingo is played every Friday at 7 p.m.      

Bowling scores on Oct. 30 were: high scratch series - Keith Ross 699, Larry Alter 654, Crystal Alter 635 and Jesse Barry 607; high scratch games - Keith Ross 258, Don Young 230, Larry Alter 230, Crystal Alter 223, Ray Theiler 219, Jesse Barry 213, Cindy Lawin 212, Frani Basta 208 and Larry Lawin 207.

Bridge score on Oct. 26 had Doris Gorsuch first and Bob Gorsuch second and on Oct. 30 Millie Mielke was first and Bob Gorsuch took second. Pinochle scores for Nov. 1 had Ward Grilley first and Alice Johnson second.
