Children’s play heralds holiday spirit in Ronan

RONAN — Children in kindergarten through second grade performed “Mrs. Claus is Missing,” an original play written and directed by drama instructor Rita Tingey, last weekend in Ronan. About a dozen high school students helped out as characters and as group leaders for the young students. This was the first time Tingey offered a play for the very young, who rehearsed and practiced for just two weeks before the production.
Working with so many little ones was like “trying to nail Jello to a wall,” Tingley said with a chuckle just prior to the performance.
