POLSON — A big thank-you to Jo Durand for filling-in for me while I was on vacation. I had a wonderful time and am glad to be back to all your smiling faces. We would like to thank the Lions Club for their donation of hot dogs and goodies. We appreciate you thinking of us and gladly accept your generosity.
We had election of officers on Aug. 24, and the results are: Dee Adams, president; Dean Greiner, vice president; Kaye Stam, secretary/treasurer; three-year directors are: Bob Gorsuch, Paul Laisy and Donna Cason and one-year directors are: Alice Johnson, Jerry Hicks and Clara Sipe. Congratulations everyone and thank you.
We received some beautiful vegetables from people and we thank you for thinking of us. Our nutrition staff is having fun with the new veggies we haven’t cooked before and the results have been favorable. Once again, many thanks.
I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend. This always seems to mark the end of summer and our wonderful warm weather. Until next week, when hopefully the snow isn’t falling, have a really good one.Bridge scores for Aug. 24 had Bennye Kingsley first and Jeanette Brown second and on Aug. 28 Bob Gorsuch was first and Win Baer was second. Pinochle scores for Aug. 30 had Ray Shrader first and Dee Adams second.
