The Mission Lady Bulldogs had a slow start to the week with a loss to neighboring Charlo, but quickly got back on their feet against Plains Friday and won 25-21, 25-11, 25-19. Then on Saturday, Mission traveled to Eureka and lost in a hard-fought battle, 25-16, 25-22, 24-26, 16-25, 10-15.

Against Plains and Eureka, Sara Nerby, Loren Erickson and Stephanie Lewandowski led the team in stats. Against Eureka, sophomore Emilie Charlo led the team with four blocks, a personal record and a team high for the season.

“The girls played with great force in the first two games of the match and then in the third, our receiving started to get us down,” head coach Kendal Anderson said of the Eureka game. “We weren’t able to come back in the end from the experience of the Eureka Lions, who have 11 seniors on their varsity team this year.”

Mission faced Ronan Tuesday and hosts Deer Lodge Thursday.
