The Polson boys basketball team traveled to Eureka on Friday, where they shut down the Lions 64-51, thanks to a first-half push where the Pirates outscored Eureka 36-22. But the Pirates couldn’t keep up their momentum at home on Saturday, when Columbia Falls handed them a 57-36 loss.

Against Eureka, Riley Sampson led his team with 15 points and 13 rebounds, seven on offense. Cedric Smith added 14 points, while Will Davey had eight. Austin Corrigan and Hayden Congdon tallied another six each.

At home against the Wildcats, Sampson and Dylan Kelley contributed eight points apiece; Davey and Congdon each had seven; and Smith turned in six. Davey grabbed eight boards, while Kelley and Sampson had four each.
