POLSON — After falling to Loyola 5-1 on Thursday, the Polson Lady Pirates suffered a tough 0-7 loss in a non-conference matchup with visiting Hamilton Saturday.

“Polson was out-classed in this match playing the better Hamilton team,” head coach Michael Hewston said.

“It was a lesson in persistence, and the ladies played better with two scoring drives in the last 10 minutes of the game.”

Junior goalkeeper Monica Cleveland had 25 saves for Polson, and freshman defender/mid-fielder Tessa Nunlist and sophomore defender Melina Jore both turned in notable performances.

The Lady Pirates host Columbia Falls at 4 p.m. Thursday and travel to Whitefish for an 11 a.m. match Saturday.
