EUREKA — The Mission High School cross-country team sent just three athletes to Saturday’s Indian Springs Invitational Meet in Eureka, but the Bulldogs certainly made their mark at the competition. Senior Paden Alexander won the boys’ race in 16:03, shattering the previous course record of 16:23.
According to head coach Marc Cutler, only two boys and one girl ran for Mission since six boys also play football (the Bulldogs were in Cut Bank) and three girls play volleyball (they were in Plains). Karl Daniels finished in 23:34 and Carley Elverud ran a 27:05 on the girls’ side.
Mission’s next race is the Ronan Invitational this Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Silver Fox Golf Course in Pablo.
