PABLO — Registration for the Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunter Education course will be Monday, Sept. 24, in Room 115 at the Beaverhead Math and Science building on the Salish Kootenai College campus in Pablo. Registration will begin at 7 p.m. A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to registration.

Only individuals 11 years of age or older at the day of sign-up may be certified upon successfully completing the course.

Volunteer instructors will teach the hunters education course beginning Sept. 24, 25, 26 and 27, continuing Oct. 1-2. Classes will be from 7 to 9 p.m. each evening. A mandatory field course is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29.

All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike. Some students take the courses for the firearm safety and outdoor survival information, even if they don’t plan to hunt.
