RONAN — I hope you had as nice a Valentine’s Day as I did. My hubby gave me flowers and we came to the center for a great chicken dinner. (Of course I had to cook the chicken dinner and I had to remind him three times about Valentine’s Day, but you take what you can get.)

Cards were played here on Feb. 4 with 20 people present. Ruby Mocabee and Ray Salomon provided the refreshments, Jim Barnes had the high score, Darlene Salomon had the low score, Sharon Guenzler had the most pinochles, and the door prize was won by Judy Penfield. If there are any cribbage players who would care to join them, this group meets each Monday afternoon at the various centers.

The foot clinic will be here on Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m.-noon. You don’t need to have an appointment, but please call so we can know about how many to expect.

Our February birthday dinner is this Friday, Feb. 22. We will be serving roast beef and the band will be here to entertain you.

The COA is still in need of volunteer drivers to take seniors to appointments between Missoula and Kalispell. If you can help, give them a call at (406) 676-2368, or stop in and talk to them at 528 Main St., SW in Ronan. We are located across the street from the hospital.

Thanks to all who pitched in while I took a couple of days off. It’s nice to have a little break once in a while, especially when the grandkids are around to entertain you.

We are still playing Bingo after lunch on Fridays, so come on in and join us.

Our menu for the week is:

• Wednesday, Feb. 20: enchiladas

• Friday, Feb. 22: roast beef

• Monday, Feb. 25: barbecue beef on a bun

• Wednesday, Feb. 27: chicken and    dressing casserole

Come on in and join us, our meals are only $4, if you are 60 years or older.

The tulips are starting to come up - that is always a good sign. Have a good week, and enjoy the great weather.
