POLSON — The Charlo Lady Vikings saw their postseason run come to an end Monday when they lost a heartbreaker to Darby in a play-in matchup for a spot at the divisional tournament. The Lady Vikings came in third in the 14-C district tourney last weekend, earning another shot at making divisionals if they could beat District 13-C’s third-place team, Darby.

It wasn’t to be, as the Lady Tigers put up a tough fight, squeaking by Charlo to a mere one-point victory, 39-38. Junior Jordan Ludeman led the Lady Viking charge with 12 points, but she was matched by Darby senior Julie Abrahamsen, who had Brianna Massey and Keely Ehmann backing her up with 10 points apiece. Charlo’s Rachel Hoyt and Aspen Runkel turned in eight points each.
