RONAN — Taking a vacation from work is nice, until you get back and have a ton of work to catch up on. Thanks to all who pitched in and helped while I was gone.

There were 23 people at cards last Monday. Lunch was served by Sharon Guenzler, Marlys Hoeldt had the high score, Judy Penfield had the low score, Ruby Mocabee had the most pinochles, and Don Siers won the door prize. Cards will be played here again on Monday, the Feb. 18.

Our board meeting will be Monday, March 4, at 10 am. If you have anything to discuss with the board, please attend the meeting.

The foot clinic will be at 10 am, on Monday, March 20. Please call and put your name on the list so we will know how many to expect.

The March evening meal is on Thursday, March 14, at 5 p.m. We will serve roast pork for only $5 per person.

AARP is still here on Fridays to help with your taxes. Give us a call at (406) 676-2371 to set up an appointment for you.

We will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at noon on March 13 and we will serve corned beef and cabbage. There will be drawings for door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and a prize for the most “Irish” looking person. The cost is only $4 or $5, depending on your age. Everyone is welcome to join us.

There will be another basket raffle from now until Easter. Tickets are $1 each, or 6 tickets for $5

Our condolences go to Dorthy Lundvall’s family. Dorothy was a special lady and well known in our community.

If you have things to get rid of, please keep our annual spring yard sale in mind. This is just one of the fundraisers the center and the COA must have to supplement their budgets.

Our menu for the week is:

• Wednesday, Feb. 27: chicken and dressing casserole

• Friday, March 1: fish

• Monday, March 4: cheeseburgers

• Wednesday, March 6: lasagna

• Friday, March 8: soup and sandwiches

Everyone is invited to join us for our meals.  We would be happy to see you. We serve at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. The pool table is always ready to use and we play bingo after lunch on Fridays. Remember, there’s always someone to sit and visit with.
