Henry E. “Hank” O’Donnell
BUTTE — Mr. Henry E. “Hank” O’Donnell passed away at St. James Healthcare in Butte on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. Hank was born on Nov. 25, 1950 in San Diego, Calif. He graduated from James Logan High School in Hayward, Calif. in 1967, whereupon he enlisted in The United States Navy.
Once in the Navy, Hank qualified for the Nesep Program and entered Washington State University. He graduated from Washington State University with a Metallurgical Degree and reentered The United States Navy as a Commissioned Officer. Hank retired from The Navy after twenty years with the Submarine Force.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret O’Donnell.
His sister Bohnda O’Donnell of Chehalis, Wash.; brothers and sisters in law R. Neil and Betty O’Donnell of Butte, Corbin and Yolanda O’Donnell of Napa, Calif. and Phillip O’Donnell of Murray, Utah, survive him. Also surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews. Rest in peace our dear brother.
In accordance with his request, cremation has taken place at Butte Crematories. Private family services will be conducted. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to The Wounded Warrior Program.
