POLSON — Arrows, targets, air pistols, and shotguns as well as scholarships for a Boy Scout leadership camp, new tent stoves and camping supplies are in the future for Lake County 4-H Shooting Sports youngsters and Boy Scout Troop 1947. The two groups each received $1,500 from the Youth Outdoor Fair.
According to organizers Tom Fieber and Chip Kurzenbaum, the goal of the fair held on March 19 in Polson was to inform and educate kids about outdoor activities they could participate in with their families.
Stressing conservation and ecology, the fair also offered hands on shooting, archery and fishing games as well as info about wildlife, hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
