PABLO — After reminiscing and relating all the blessings and good fortune in his life to teaching at Two Eagle River School and Salish Kootenai College, TERS commencement speaker George Price gave the class of 2011 some practical advice.

“Learn correct grammar and writing skills,” Price urged.

Now a college professor at the University of Montana, Price said very few of his students can write.

To further their writing skills and other education, Juan Perez from Salish Kootenai College presented each of the nine graduates with a one-year tuition waiver to SKC, and TERS counselor Judy Gibbs proffered an honor scholarship to Sierra Nault.

TERS principal Clarise King and TERS school board member Gerry Brown gave graduates their diplomas on Sunday, May 22 during commencement ceremonies.

Walden Tewawina played his hand drum and sang the processional and recessional while Stan Healy offered a prayer.

Graduates included:
Maria Yasir Al Kadhem, exchange student from Saudi Arabia
Kurt James Burland, Jr.
Ashley Rae Caye
Joshanna Denise Couture
Ty Gardipe
Basil Jack Kenmille
Jacob Buckskin Michel
Sierra Nichole Nault
Wesley Robert James Nowlen
