POLSON — During a short meeting on Aug. 15, Polson City Commissioners approved the new beverage license for Montana domestic winery, the Grinde Bay Winery, 607 9th Avenue E. The winery is located near Johnco Storage.

They also approved a three-year extension for preliminary approval of a 49-lot subdivision for developer Bill Wilkins. The extension will run until Oct. 25, 2011.

During city manager comments, Polson City Manager Todd Crossett reported:
• The last public meeting of the corridor study will be held on Sept. 1 at the North Lake County Public Library at 6 p.m.
• Warranty work on the Main Street sidewalks will begin on Aug. 16.
• The Salish Point committee will host a fundraiser with a golf scramble, a barbecue and prizes, at the golf course in September to start raising money for the new dock.
• Bob Fulton has addressed some concerns about the transportation issue at the top of the hill.
• Questions Commissioner Elsa Duford raised about proposals generated but not put on agenda were an oversight.

But the most popular comment from Crossett was “We have air conditioning,” since city hall had been without cool air for a while.

After approving the June cash report, the commissioners discussed Bob Fulton’s letter.

Mayor Pat DeVries said the commissioners will all get copies of Fulton’s correspondence.

“The first thing is to respond to Bob,” she added

Polson resident Murat Kalinyaprak commented that this council doesn’t want to talk about things that happened in the past.
