PABLO — The Mission Valley area’s best boys and girls basketball players squared off in the 18th annual Mission Mountain All-Star hoops games Friday night at Salish Kootenai College. Players from Polson, Ronan, Two Eagle River, Charlo, St. Ignatius, Arlee, Bigfork, Hot Springs and Plains formed two boys’ teams and two girls’ teams, with one side wearing home jerseys and one sporting away colors.

On the girls’ side, the home team triumphed, winning 72-67 over the “away” team.

The boys’ away team beat the home team 100-95, despite a standout effort from Mission High School’s Nikko Alexander, who hit nine 3-pointers and scored 31 points for the home team.
