POLSON — The Polson Beautification Committee is dedicated to keeping Main Street a clean and inviting place for residents and visitors to shop and relax. For the last 14 years, the committee has purchased, hung, and cared for 70 flower baskets, hanging each summer on Main Street and First Streets East and West.

This baskets been well received by businesses, residents and visitors alike, according to chair Trudy Pedersen, but to continue, the project needs new or continued financial support.

Mission Valley Power is kind enough to help hang the baskets each year, but the committee depends on community-minded individuals and businesses for the funds to purchase the baskets.

The Polson Beautification Committee also is taking on a new project to hang and maintain Polson’s holiday decorations. The Polson Chamber of Commerce owns the decorations, but many are in need of repair and some need to be replaced.

Mission Valley Power will continue to hang the decorations for the holiday season, but the committee is asking community members to please consider supporting this new project. To support the flower baskets and the holiday decorations, please send a check to the Polson Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 667, Polson, and specify Polson Beautification Committee and either flower baskets, holiday decoration or general. Checks can also be dropped at the Chamber at 418 Main St.
