CHARLO — Chance Rosenbaum from Scout Troop 1951 built bleachers for the far Charlo baseball field for his Eagle Scout Project. He had his Board of Review last week; his project was accepted so he is an official Eagle Scout.
Rosenbaum, 17 and a senior at Charlo High School, welded the frame in his school welding class, taught by Stan Atchley.
He credited classmates Dillon Edwards, Austin Reynolds and Trevor Wersonic for assisting with the welding. For set up on the field, Rosenbaum thanked Kolton Andrews, Ross Fullerton and the Paul Wadsworth family.
The project took close to two months, according to Rosenbaum’s mom, Cari. Mom and son teamed up to earn money for the materials by manning the concession stand at the Bison Range Run. Rosenbaum also ran the 5K, set up the concession stand and handled the take down so Charlo Baseball donated the proceeds to his project.
When he graduates, Rosenbaum plans to attend either Brigham Young University-Idaho or BYU-Utah to get his general requirements out of the way before he goes on a mission for his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
