Faye ‘Kentucky Babe’ Drowatzky

PABLO – Faye “Kentucky Babe” Drowatzky, 68, passed away at her home on Friday morning.

Born on March 10, 1945, to Edwin and Maddie Lou (Taylor) Mills in Hustonville, Ky., she was raised in Kentucky and Louisville was her home. She and her family moved to many places and eventually ended up in the Coeur d’Alene area in the 1970s. It was here that she met and married Don Drowatzky in 1978. They lived in the Spokane area before moving to Kentucky. Lack of work eventually got the best of them and they returned to the Northwest, eventually settling in Pablo.

Faye leaves behind her husband Don of Pablo and her children Johnny Lee Bryant, Scott Bryant, Jamie Sue Bryant, Don Drowatzky, David Wade Drowatzky and daughter Dawn. Also surviving her are siblings Carol and Merle of Kentucky, brother in-law Jack and sister in-laws Verna and Glenna Drowatzky (that she always considered her “Montana” siblings), and her pet rooster Clovis.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 22, in the Foster Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Kentucky Bluegrass Knob Cemetery in Pablo. Condolences may be left at fosterfhandcrematory.com.
